NFA joins the 84th TIF (Thessaloniki International Fair), 7-11/09/2019, Thessaloniki, Greece

Detrop and Oenos will be back in full force from 2 to 4 March 2019 at Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre, confirming their role as one of the largest events in the food & beverage industry.

Following the successful Detrop Boutique and Artozyma held in February 2018 and after a two-year hiatus, the two exhibitions are expected to attract the interest of domestic and international exhibitors and visitors. With a rich schedule of side events, innovative actions and novel proposals, the exhibition ‘duo’ will once again serve as a point of reference for the food & beverage sector.

We are excited to participate in the 2nd Athens Innovation Festival. Looking forward to three intensive days of networking and interacting with young entrepreneurs, innovative start-ups and colleagues active in all fields of agro-food.

We are honored to receive an invitation by the French Embassy in Athens, Greece to present NFA in the pitching event entitled "Youth Innovation".

The French Institute of Greece and the French Embassy in Greece has a keen interest for innovation and innovative actors. In this context multiple events have been organized since 2016 called "Innovative Youth" to shine a light on innovating startups from France and Greece.

This is the 9th event organized, which will be held on February 1st 2018 in the French Institute Auditorium in Athens, the focus will be "the Food of Tomorrow". The event is sponsored by the French Ambassador in Greece, Christophe Chantepy,  who will make a the introductive speech of the evening.

After a fruitful and intensive weekend of coaching in enterpreneurship, NFA won the 1st prize. This Masterclass was organized by Orange Grove PatrasAroma Innovation Hub and Patras Science Park. The event was held with the kind support of the Netherlands Embassy in Athens, as part of its aim to support youth entrepreneurship in the agri-food sector, but also share Dutch knowledge and expertise to enable young entrepreneurs strengthen the start-up eco-system in Greece.

NFA won a free ticket to the Netherlands, the opportunity to participate in the incubation program of Start Life at Wageningen Campus for 4-6 weeks with individual mentoring, support and seminars and the possibility to participate in the pitching event for F&A Next 2018 where investors meet agri-food start-ups (

We are excited to take part in the 4th Agri-food Masterclass on Entrepreneurship taking place in Patras, Greece, 3-5 November 2017.


Agri-food Masterclass on Entrepreneurship, is an intensive Masterclass on entrepreneurship in the agri-food sector. Teams/start-ups with activities in the fields of agri-food, agro/bio-technology, rural tourism, and related services are invited to participate at the Masterclass. This rotating Masterclass is organized by the Netherlands Embassy in Athens. This year the co-organizers are incubator Orange Grove Patras, the Patras Science Park and the Aroma Innovation Hub.

The ERASMUS+ Knowledge Alliance project (554312-EPP-1-2014-1-AT-EPPKA2-KA) will establish an independent “EuFooD-STA Center”, a platform with local hubs in different regions, as an organisational frame for international and sustainable collaborations between industry and academia in the food sector.The independent “EuFooD-STA Center” will enhance on the one hand innovative education & training for students, targeted towards the needs of the industry and thus increasing their employability and on the other hand innovative continual professional development (CPD) for academic and company staff by facilitating experience exchange.

AVOYOG” is a smoothie beverage containing Greek avocado and strained (Greek or Greek-type) yoghurt whey, enriched with prebiotic fibers, natural antioxidant extract and vitamin C. “AVOYOG” is an eco-friendly product since it uses strained (Greek or Greek-type) yoghurt industry by-product (acid whey), the exploitation of which is a major issue for the dairy industry.

AVOYOG was developed by the research team of Laboratory of Food Chemistry and Technology, School of Chemical Engineering, National Technical University of Athens. High Pressure processing was used to pasteurize and achieve microbiological stability contributing to the preservation of “fresh-like” flavour, taste, appearance and nutritional properties (similar to the freshly blended and prepared smoothie beverages). It has great nutritional value as it is rich in vegetable fats, while oxidation of fats is inhibited with the use of natural rosemary antioxidant (NFA Rosemary Serum).
